When I was growing up, all my family was pretty close. 1st cousins on both sides, meaning my mothers side, my fathers side. We all pretty much hung out, visited at each other's homes, celebrated holidays, you know, the normal. So what happens along the way that distance happens? Well, it's everybody grows up, moves, or stays, marries or not, has families, or not, work like DOGS...or not for some..But even with all this going on we still for the most part tried to have our get togethers. So this is the question...so just when..and or why...do certain ones of the family start to think they're so much better than the other side? All the sudden, no invites to get togethers, no invites to engagement and wedding parties, no invitations to weddings. Some try to get things together to keep the families together, and most of the time, they show up. And that's great and fun and just dandy! Then when there's a wedding, why is one part of the family that is left out? And this isn't the 1st time, nor the 2nd, but the 3rd. So, just had this on my mind and the more I think about it kinda just makes me ill. So, I have decided, I will concentrate fully, which I do anyway, on my immediate family and if the rest of the family wants to act that way. Hey, let um! What do they do for me? Do they pay my power bill, do they pay my phone bill? My rent? on and on. nope. so what's it to me now that they for some reason feel they are better than me? If that's what floats their boat, sail away!
