Short story. Little dog got pissed at me. Didn't like the attention I was giving someone else. Got my almost new only 3 month old glasses off the coffee table. Chewed the heck out of them. Even ate most of the glass I think on one lens. Called Vision Center at Walmart where glasses were purchased.
on Monday. Woman on phone told me "you need to bring in the pieces". huh? I threw away the lens that was broke in half and chewed. "Well, we need the pieces." hmmm. okay. I'll have to dig through the trash. her: no comment, except "it'll be best to bring them in Tuesday when the manager is here, but they're under warranty so we'll replace them."
Tuesday: Went through gookie, yucky, FULL bag of trash that I had actually cleaned out my refrig and thrown stuff in! Finally when got to the bottom of slimy, disgusting trash bag, gave up, determined not to open every soggy paper towel to look for a HALF OF A LENS. Took rest of glasses in, in a baggie. Gave to same lady I talked to on the phone on Monday. Told her , Look, I went through the trash but couldn't find the lens so gave up. Sorry. Lady said, "well, the manager will be in around 2 and will call you." me: but, they're under warranty right? her: yes. I asked so when can I expect my new glasses. Her: you'll have to talk to the mgr about it.
Wednesday: So far no call about glasses. Called just a few minutes ago and mgmr. or whoever it was that was suppose to call me, told me she never received my glasses, never was told a thing about it, and I didn't have to go digging through the trash for that lens!
I do believe that lady is in for a tongue lashing.

Just got a call back from the mgr. After checking notes from yesterday, saw where the lady mentioned glasses being brought in, and sent them off after being told to do it, knowing after 3 years that's how they handle it. Seems this is a ongoing thing for 3 years with this same person. Maybe not exactly being told to go through trash, but not doing her job performance 100%. Oh, and I was being nice. This was the nice side of Patty!
