One of my most favorite things to blog about....

Is my grandchildren and children. This Saturday was Alyssa's cheerleading competition. I drove to Jesup Friday night to be there so I wouldn't be late, I'm NEVER on time anymore for things hardly ever, for competition. There were 4 little cheerleading squads cheering against each other. Sorry to say we missed the first 2 teams compete, we got there when the coach told us too and so missed them. Alyssa's little squad did a great job, for an assortment of 7 yr olds on up to maybe 10? A couple looked really tall. They did good. And we really enjoyed it.

I did notice though during the competion there was one angry white woman in the gym doorway giving somebody H-E-L-L in the stands. Arm motions, facial expressions that I hope I don't make in my worst moments, and just plain out MAD. Then I saw her giving grief to the rec. dept employee also. This was after I'd already heard the poor rec dept employee catching hell from another mother in the parking lot about the time the mother's coach told her to be there and blamed it on the coach that she wasn't there in time. Now, we all know the coach told her to be there on time but this preppy looking woman, (yes, preppy even in Jesup) was just to busy fixing her side ponytail and making sure her tight jeans looked good in her suede boots. Mind you in what it felt like 80 degree weather. I felt sorry for the rec employee! And this was all before the judges decision. Wonder how that angry mother or could have been a grandmother felt if her daughter/grandaughter wasn't on one of the winning teams! I didn't see her in the crowd of winners either, so maybe she was off beating somebody up in the parking lot.
When I pointed the angry woman out to Kristin in the gym, I told her there sure were some redneck acting people there and she looked at me and said, "Mom, you just don't know."
Thing is, sad to say, with my experience with all my kids doing sports all the past years, there are "those" mommies and daddies, grandparents too, that forget this is all in fun, they're not earning money for who wins!

But back to the subject at hand, had a great time, busy weekend, and finally got back home after delivering alot of "butts". BUT that's another topic. Today's is dedicated to my cheerleading angel! GOOOO EAGLES!!!

Lord, I know what you mean yesterday we walked down to the square all the women had their jeans tucked into boots. I'm thinking it is 80 degrees!

I was hot in a short sleeve with jeans. I would have had heat exhaustion if I'd had on her attire mind you along with a long sleeve shirt!
